I've had that happen and most of the time I did not want more quilting. I felt as long as I met the batting's specification It should be my choice.

You can't see it because the background is black. I echo quilted 1/8" apart around the dove and the vines. The border is densely quilted too, but you can't see that either. I'm sure the judges could see it. I'm looking forward to reading the judges comments.
