Those are called "self threading needles" - here's a link to some on Amazon; if you mouse over the photo you can get a (slightly blurry) close-up view of what the eyes look like. That style of needles are made by a lot of companies, including Singer, Dritz & Clover. Joann's carries them too.

I tried them for sewing hexies and didn't like them, personally. The thread popped out a little too often for me, so I went back to standard needles. They're great for burying quilting threads, though, and I didn't have any thread shredding problems.
