Make sure your Nechi has a center needle position. One of my vintage machines use a left needle position when straight stitching. That means that the needle isn’t centered in the ruler foot, so when using the rulers, the needle is not always 1/4” away from the needle. That makes it hard to line up repeating patterns if you need to put the ruler on different sides of the foot.
