Do you mean they are not flat but have bulges in the surface? If do this can be caused by certain quilting designs. I am careful that not too many quilting lines coming together in one spot and sometimes curved lines can stretch the fabric on the bias. Sometimes you can put some weights sewn along the back bottom to help pull a wallhanging straight.
