I think you nailed it there, Mickey. It's all about where you are selling/buying and being able to reach your target audience.
Also, if someone goes to a shop that sells machines, they often pay somewhat more for it. But it has usually been gone over and oiled, repaired, whatever and is in good running condition and if it's a good shop at all, they will stand behind what they sell. When you buy from Craig's List its normally an "as-is" situation so most people aren't willing to pay as much and shouldn't. They are taking a chance on the machine and may have to have it repaired.
