The guy was really impressed. When we started it we weren t sure how we would tackle it so just went with it one step at a time. I really wish I could have kept it. We didn`t have to tie it, just the weight of the leather keeps everything in place. WE sewed the batting{store bought blanket with very light batting) then we sewed the back and front...When it was turned all we did was make a top stitch all around and it just falls perfectly.

Since you birthed it, how did you keep the front & back from separating? Did you tack it in places over the quilt somehow? Such a wonderful piece you've made...you should be very, very proud.
