Lettuce keeper?
I'm looking for a good way to keep leaf lettuce from wilting quickly and then me having to toss it. I like salad, but not every day and there is only dd and me, so one head of, say romaine, usually ends up half consumed and then tossed due aging. I did buy one of those Rubbermaid rectangle produce keepers, but not long enough and they do take up a lot of space in veggie bin.....any suggestions? Btw....same thing with green onions..end up throwing half the bunch of them away too! Grrrr!..
