I am interested in doing this but have a couple of questions:
1. Can I use my own fabrics if they are new and 100% cotton? I made my
grandchildren I Spy quilts just sewing 6 inch squares together...no framing.
Needles to say, I have a lot of 6 inch squares left that I would love to see
go to a good cause. Would that work?
2. I can handle the straight machine quilting but am wondering about the
binding. I always sew the binding on the front by machine and then finish it
by hand on the back. I'm not sure how I can finish the binding neatly by
machine. How do you all finish yours.
Looking forward to answers so I can order a kit and, hopefully get started using
my stash.
