I'm debating...I finished Tula Pink's City blocks (which I have cut from mostly other's scrap batiks) and have created a plan for the blocks. I need 3.5 yards to set the blocks to make a quilt. Now, if I use scrap vertical sashes between the blocks I can get by with less. It won't interfere with the design and in fact I think will enhance to overall design. I can save 3/4 yd of fabric by doing so. I think this is a win win as I get rid of stash and have less fabric to buy. I could also use a stash background piece...not a batik..that would look okay, but I have 2 yards more than I need and I really bought it for background for a scrappy quilt...Okay I talked myself into buying a batik and using scrap pieces for sashing...darn I don't work until next Monday and I think there's a piece there that will work...

It's so good to "talk" this out! Thanks for listening
