Default "Ruby" by New Home

I'm trying to find resources and information in this machine.

This was my paternal Grandmother's sewing machine. She was an Inuit Woman from Labrador (Canada), who in the 1920's was sent to Boston to be "educated".

All the people I know from my home area who have inherited Family machines all have Singers.

My Grandmother passed away when my father was a young boy, this is the only thing he has that belonged to his mother. My father would use this machine to sew canvas tents (most people refer to them as Prospector Tents). It has been sitting in the back of a closet for 30 years and suffering from a little neglect. All the parts are there, and I think will a good cleaning Ruby will sew again.

I'm trying to find out the history of this machine. I'm thinking my Grandmother must have got Ruby while in Boston and that would be why she would have had a different Machine then those available in her hone area.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
