My DGD usually was with me when I went to quilts shops. She was about 8 years old when she saw the Hello Kitty machine and her eyes lit up. I bought it for her right then. Easy and straight forward to use. She is 19 and still sewing with it. It's made by Janome and the same as the Janome Jem Gold.
