I use painters tape to hold a small plastic bag ( that my newspaper comes in) to the edge of my sewing machine cabinet. I can just push fabric and thread scraps right in, and as it fills, I empty it into my larger bag. I also have on taped to the edge of my cutting table to have it super handy. A woman in my guild makes doggie beds for the animal shelter, then fills them with scraps. So we save our scraps for her.
