That irritates me to no end. Waste all that time trying to save something that isn't worth saving. When I went to the church donation sew group I would always take a new roll of masking tape. I wouldn't use that old saved tape that would pop off and had to be redone. One lady told me it works fine if you use a pin and pin it down. Good Grief. When I read a post about people being cheap I think of that group. LOL
