Thanks for all the kudos. The mom who requested it was tickled clear through and surprised I managed that big guy in the middle. A picture we saw of that one started this adventure. She had no idea I got permission from the guy who owned the picture to trace it to use for an applique. Then I snapped a picture to get the colors right. So she never expected to see him in the quilt too.
