Gerbie ... I loved doing the individual OBW-hexies, everyone a surprise. I just thought it needed something more and decided to give it a try with the lace edge. Besides it added to the Shabby Chique effect. It took some thinking as to the "how to", and so, I did the small blue candlemat as a trial run. It all worked, and I was pleased with the results. I've never used the lace again, but there are lots of other quilts that it could add to a finish. Give it a try yourself, sometime!
