Yes, that is a cutting mat. When you finish the cutting. Keep the mat on the fabric and twist off the mat so so it isn't right on top of your fabrics. Don't pull the mat straight up off the fabrics. That will keep the static down and the fabrics will be easier to remove. Sorry you are struggling. hope that helps!
