QuilterPurpleDog ... I agree, it's important to include some of the original fabric, just to see the differences it makes. I was lucky enough to have enough for the backing, with three seams, that I managed to get matched perfectly! Sadly, the quilt does not get used much because it is in the living room, but I do enjoy seeing it over the back of a chair. It's funny how some quilts, quilt-up with a nice poofy-quilty-snuggly feel to them. This is one that really has that feel!
