Default Dining room table cutting platform

I sew in my dining room but my tables are too low to comfortably use as a cutting station. My husband built a platform out of 3/4" plywood & 2X4s. I glued felt to the base where it touches the table to prevent any damage. It's about 40" square, the right height and I can store all my cutting tools under the platform.

But wait, there's more.
We acquired several small (30" square) card tables when our church was closed due to freeway construction.
He sized the platform to sit over the top of the card table to make it a bit larger. So when we entertain, I take the platform off the table & we can use the dining table and also the card table. Works great, very sturdy.

But wait, there's more! I found this tray at Salvation Army

It fits perfectly between the legs. It truly is like it was made for this purpose.
