It is so nice to hear good things about the quilt. I really like it. The reason I am sorry for the red strip is that I just thought it looked to brazen for the front and the main thing is that it is crooked. I didn't get the backing pinned on straight. I thought I did and didn't notice it until I took the picture. There is always some booboo on my quilts but I just carry on and keep on sewing.
