Sewbizgirl, I love the blues! They sure make for a pretty 9 patch.
I am going to try the no-waste method after I finish up the smallish pile of rectangles & squares for doing the sew & flip, which was the only way I had ever done flying geese.
I am piecing on my Featherweight, I just love working on the FW card table, so much space for all of my stuff:-) Plus my newist machine was built in 1959, so vintage it is! LOL
Speaking of vintage machines, I took a road trip today and picked up a 1933 Singer 99k in a bentwood case with a spoked wheel. The game plan is to convert it to a hand crank but it needs a good spa day first. As a bonus, I went to 2 quilt shops I had never been in and they were just wonderful stores. An all around great road trip, but so far today, no sewing.
