I guess sewing machines are no different than so many other things-they just want to get you in their place of business so they can twist your arm and convince you that you need more than you want and pay more than you want to pay. I refuse to be drawn in and usually go in with a page that reflects my thinking. I say that I have a specific amount of money to spend and ask what they do within those parameters. I learned to steer clear of dealers who have a variety of brands because they push those whose manufacturers give them added incentatives for selling the product. I refuse to be drawn in.
