I can sit in my living room or family room and enjoy watching the beautiful snow fall instead of dreading the drive to work over snow and ice covered roads.

I can curl up my easy chair and spend the day reading or quilting hour after hour not once looking at the clock because I have to be somewhere

I can eat lunch at 3:00p and supper at 9:00p if I choose.

Instead of looking forward to Saturday and Sunday each week and packing it full of things I want to (or have to!) do, now every day is Saturday and Sunday!

My old eyes can look at nature with the wonder of a child.

Did I look forward to retirement? YES! Did I enjoy it when I got there? NO! It took me years to learn how to relax.

I think that whether or not you enjoy it is definitely contingent upon your financial situation, your health status, whether you live alone or contnue to have to consider the likes, dislikes, needs of others.
