If you want to use this method, you can use your sewing machine to sew a strip along each side (like a small border). Press the edges under and then you can hand stitch this framed label onto the quilt back where ever you wish. I use a strip 1 1/4" wide when I do this. This eliminates having to stitch through the thicker label fabric.
