Before I got a sleep study and received my CPAP machine, I was a big snorer.

At one retreat, I roomed with a lady who always wore her silver hair up in a bun. In the middle of the night, when I was snoring, she punched me on the shoulder. I must have been in a very deep sleep, because when I awoke, all I saw was this lady in white with all this white hair flowing all around her. It scared the bajeebers out of me and I screamed so loud that other quilters came out of their room to see who was getting murdered. I thought I was in a horror movie, it was a good thing that she didn't have a pair of scissors in her hand. I probably would have had a heart attack.

It is funny to think of now, but then it was really embarrassing to me. I now go to retreats where I can afford a private room. Even though I don't snore now, it does feel good to be able to be with lots of people and then have a quiet place to be by myself.
