My ASG group does a retreat every year, but they have only a very few single rooms available. If you don’t get your money in the first few days, you have to share. I just won’t go if I can’t have a single room. I snore, I go to bed early and wake up early, I make a cup of tea with an electric kettle as soon as I get up, and I like to sleep in a gown without underwear. All of these things make sharing a room problematic. Sigh. The retreats are so much fun.
