My sewing room is upstairs and it is 15 by 20, and not big enough.ha. My 12ft. longarm takes up at least 3ft on each side plus 5ft for it, that is 11ft. plus at least 3ft on each end. They take a lot of room. I'm crammed in that room with sewing machines, a big eating size table for working on, a serger, no room to iron. So make your choices.
