I don’t crochet, so I knit mine. Cast on 24 stitches, use #8 or 9 needles (short if you have them) and knit every row until you have a scrubby. I use #10 or 11 needles for dish rag and cast on 42 stitches to make it oversized because I found cotton scrubby shrinks after washing.
