I just saw a quilt suggestion from a website that used a square for each day. A color was assigned to a mood. Happy, sad, tired, and you added that square each day. It was along the lines of the quilt that had registered the temperature of the day. This was not the site I saw, but has a chart already set up. And I like the idea of a "dresden plate" type design instead of just squares. You could do hexies, bow ties, stars, almost anything.
