I think it helps that I am short and buxom, so most of the dirt I accumulate is under the equator (my bustline) and therefore invisible to me, lol. I'm sure its the same with thread.
I do the same when I am working, especially in the yard, and find I need something from Home Depot, etc., to finish the job.
And Midwife - you and I must have the same stylist! I wear mostly dark colors so of course I have 2 light colored cats. My style is definitely cat hair and threads.
