No, they won't adjust the amount. And, I had them do that a couple of times to me also. You have to catch them at what they are doing. They will charge you the most expensive amount first. I caught my local PO doing that to me and asked them right out if that was the most cost efficient way to send. Of course, it was a no. Now they see me coming and don't even try to upgrade the shipping charges unless I ask outright to do so.
