I'm definitely not in the majority here, but I think it needs a white border (I'm assuming the the background color is white.) before you start the purple ones. I don't think it needs to be very wide, just enough to separate the borders from the quilt. I'd audition it, at least.

Thanks for the thought. I did audition the small white border. It just didn't appeal to me. Nor did a small turquoise one. (I have been play "decide on a border...or not" for about two days now.
