I love the Quilters Dream wool batting. I have never had a problem with bearding. Personally, I think that has to do with the weave of the fabric and not the batting. The wool batting is soft and slightly heavier than cotton and breathable. Make nice definition for your stitching whether it is FMQor hand quilting.
