My Bernina 1230 does not have a presser foot pressure adjustment, but then I have never needed one as it adjust so well to all thicknesses.

What are you sewing? Or are you quilting a thick batting? If you are doing free motion quilting, you might be able to use a floating foot and adjust it so it floats higher than normal. For regular sewing, I'm not sure if there is anything you can do. Perhaps a teflon foot or roller foot?
