I use quilters dream "request" batting that I get on amazon, often without a label (because they cut it off a continuous roll). It is cheaper than connecting threads 30% off sale and no shipping charge. Very thin, no scrim, works perfect every time. If you stay with one brand, you can always piece pieces together.
I prefer it with a scrim-it seems like no scrim tries to stretch out when I'm smoothing it out to sandwich.
eta: how does the request loft compare to warm & natural? It says for summer quilts and wearables on the quilter's dream website and suggests the "select" for regular quilting.
