First quilt-Sashing and border width
I found the cut pieces of a beautiful BOM at a yard sale - well I found about 9 of them, 7 of them with the pattern. (It is a Northcott fabric about 8 years old) Because each block is a different flower, different colours and different block pattern, I feel they need separation to show each one off. I tried a number of greens and am now thinking that I will use a black sashing hoping to give the idea of pictures framed. Each block will be 15" finished. I am wondering if perhaps 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" would be the best idea. I have laid them out but as I haven't finished a quilt yet I am unsure. I thought I would do the same for the border/binding.
