You asked about A handcrank. Errr how about multiple handcranks.. The answer is yes. Singer 66, 99, 28, 127. Others also.

My GF's granddaughter only wants to use hand cranks since they aren't as scary as electrical power. 3 stitches per revolution. Friday GF and chrisquilts and I let 800 school kids use our three handcranks and look at a 4th. One of the machines came from jpwest. Pics later. But they are great for quiet places or places without electricity.
