Thanks Teen-- I was laughing too by the time all was said and done-- Nothing else to do. Spent 3 hours this morning doing various other tricks and got the laptop working, spent lots of time last night wiggling cell phone charger and it's now charged so all's good again LOL
Sorry to hear about your neighbor, we went through the same thing with DH's mother-- it's very hard watching cognitive decline. You're a good friend to him. I hope his son is able to come get him sooner rather than later since the more advanced the cognitive decline, the harder it is for folks to adapt to new surroundings.
