Zozee, they finished at 15" before quilting and washing. It's been so long since I made them, that I'm not really sure what size the patches were in the original 4 patches. I'm thinking they had to have been 8 1/2", but maybe they were 9 and I wound up trimming the blocks a bit to get them square. I'm pretty sure I have a 9" square ruler, so 8 1/2" pieces would have been improbable.
