When I was a kid growing up in northern Idaho we would get quite a bit of snow. I loved it when it would get a crust on top as I would dig tunnels and walk on top of the snow. When I was a year old, we had a lot of snow. We lived on a farm and had a fence around the house that was about 5 ft high, and the snow covered the fence even after it settled. When it got a crust on it, I could walk all over. Mom said when summer came, I couldn't figure out where that fence came from. Guess I was not a happy camper that I was confined to the yard!! Now I live in rain country and miss the snow(most of the time).
