My thoughts on making it happen:
Perhaps thinking in bargello terms would be helpful. I've never made a Quilt Around the World, so can't say for sure. My quick thinking that 4 groups of 7 coordinate fabrics would make 4 sets of 7 fabric strips. After that, I think the difficulty would be putting the sets together in the right order.
However, I will once again point out that I have no experience with the Quilt Around the World pattern, and have only made a table runner sized bargello quilt.
