I have several of the Rowenta travel iron from years ago with the long handle. I purchased two...just had a feeling they would not be around in the future....I was right. haven't seen it in years. Sharon Schamber used it exclusively and recommend it in a class I took from her, she kept it at her side while sewing...turned in on its side when not in use. it had steam if you wanted, but I used it with no steam...really hot iron and perfect for travel, classes, and beside my machine. Is this the Rowenta travel iron you were talking about? I have been considering it, but it seems too expensive. I don't mind the cost if it really works well.
