Pull tabs inside the bottles are usually made of foil and/or plastic. I just pierce them with the tip of a sharp knife to get them started. Sometimes you need more help from the knife to get enough of the foil off so you can get to the insides.

For metal pull tabs, the devices pictured in Jan's post are the way to go. Try Starcrest of California for more choices, really reasonably priced with free shipping. I've been buying from them for at least 50 years. (Seems like it. Have they been in business that long?)

I just searched for Starcrest of California and found this site:
www.starcrest.com
Their tab puller is $4.00, and if you order $20.00 worth of anything, shipping is free.
I am not associated with the company, but have been happy with their merchandise. They have stuff I could not find elsewhere.
