I have used generic feet on my Janome, Brother, Singer all with no problems. The only machine that didn't like the one generic foot was my Babylock and it of course was the most expensive foot the darning foot. I don't know what the problem was literally they look identical but I can not do FMQ using the generic one. If you order make sure that they accept returns.
