Agree .... the secondary design would come through.
Whereas in a multi colour, you would just end up with a multi-colour effect ..... with this block.

Lately, I have been learning how to with photos.
Copy and paste, side by side to see how they look.
The snipping tool is phenomenal for this!!
Also playing with colour effects within Word can help give ideas for other colours and such.
