Facepalm: I just remembered why that disappearing 4-patch became a UFO. I had figured out that if I made one more row of those easy blocks I would have a quilt that would fit a queen bed nicely. I just didn't feel like doing it at that time (6 years ago). Of course, now that it's finished in its original skimpy size, that will never happen. Sigh. I'm mentioning this as a hint if others are looking at something they put aside, to ask yourself some questions before leaping right in. Whatever stopped you before might not seem so daunting now, but you do have to remember what the heck it was.
It's nice to pop in here and see all the great work that gets done. Way to go and keep it going! It's inspiring! I have to admit I seem to have created another UFO last week. It's a center medallion and I don't know what I want to put around it yet. Someday it will speak to me. Meanwhile, I made a little quilt from some stray blocks that were given to me. Not a UFO of mine, but it seems like progress of a sort, and it will be donated to pay forward a nice gift of fabric and stray blocks from someone on Nextdoor dot com.
I have several more UFO's that need doing, but what is beckoning is a scrap project that I can easily justify because in addition to making quilts and UFO's I've been a regular scrap factory for several years. In addition to that, the Nextdoor pal gave me lots of blue scraps to go with my own and there's a quilt hiding in there somewhere, I just know it. I promise to get back to the UFO's eventually.
