Well I dont know the Patsy Thompson way, although her ways with using different coloured threads got me going!
With these feathers you do not have to go back over a line anywhere so I think they are neater - and the book is a treasure of creative bits and very easy to follow. Also if they are not uniform it doesnt matter - they still look good. I have been trying other ideas from the book this afternoon - but the basic method is the same. And unlike other ways I've tried I found it much more relaxing..no teeth grinding or breath holding! Have a look at the reviews on Amazon - they are good.
