Darcyshannon, There is more than one way to make the block. A specialty ruler will probably provide a way to sew the block with fewer seams. I felt like I got the same overall look/effect by using an ordinary straight ruler, and sewing HSTs.
Thanks, Givio, I see it now. Amazing what those HSTs can do. Lobster (ha ha, autocorrect) Libster I bet he loves that quilt. I will definitely start working on one of these. I do like the scrappy look.

I just bought some pea pod fabric for the summer quilt blocks. Couldn’t resist.
