I am playing with the idea of making a twin sized top with just ten inch square pieces. Has anyone done one like this? I think I saw such a quilt at a Cracker Barrel restaurant and really liked it. I have some sports fabric that has big designs, and I am going to make a quilt for a boy at a Boys' Ranch. I am just having trouble visualizing if the ten inch squares would look good or yucky.
So, if you had made such a thing, did it end up looking okay? I know it would depend on the fabric and all....

I have made several quilts of just 10 in squares pieced together and they can be beautiful. I saw one of these in a shop years ago. I asked to purchase the exact fabric and it had completely sold out with customers wanting this quilt. It had no neutral blocks and many different but beautiful fabrics. The quilting was row by row and was a small feather pattern. I display several quilts in my home but this big block quilt gets the most attention. I use well coordinated fabric and a 8 inch border. A small border looks out of place
