I have the Brother XM2701 which I bought to take on a trip to TN last Fall. I love it. I've used it to piece, quilt (free motion and walking foot), and just do general sewing on. The Brother CS6000i looks great too. I love how lightweight my model is. It makes traveling with it easy. I wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere. It looks like the CS6000i is light as well--just 3 lbs more than mine. I think it would be an excellent purchase; especially if you like to use the decorative stitches
