Working on keeping it from UFO status. I found a quilt in my pile that is almost the right size to pair with it (and at least it's the right shape this time). A couple of new borders on the UFO quilt (which I plan to work on at my sew day tomorrow), and I should have a back & top ready to go on the longarm.
For those not on the Fabric Moratorium thread - I made this lovely backing for a quilt. Back is 95x95" - but when I double checked the size of the top, it turned out to be 91x106" rather than the 96x96" that I thought it was. I completely forgot that I turned that square quilt into a rectangle. And that it apparently originally finished at 72x72".
And failure #2
Added borders to what I thought was a 79" square quilt (I measured it - on one side apparently), and now it's 89x94" to the outside of the blue border. Way too close to the 95" quilt top to look good - plus it's not square (it was supposed to have a 4" black border after the blue).
Back to the drawing board once again. I ripped out all those borders to try one more time.
